Just like a colourful hat that will be paraded at the racecourse for the Melbourne Cup today this Iris has sprung up in a second flush of Spring Colour. It’s very welcome as pretty much everything else has either blown away or been eaten by the rabbits. Since blue is my favourite colour I picked Illustrious Blue to win the big race. A British Horse of course! My true blue pick came in 9th in the big race so it’s just as well I wasn’t laying bets for real!
