A new addition in the garden. This cute little white flower on the Philadelphus Lemoinei. It’s a relief to see it coming into flower as this particular plant has had a tough life since it arrived having been a preferred seat for a basset’s bottom on many occasion.
It was only when I put an upturned hanging basket over it did it start to grow. There is a twin elsewhere in the garden but that got trodden on recently by a big basset paw and it broke off completely so I’m hoping that it will regenerate. Oh the trials of bassets and flower beds.
Close by the Saliva Mainacht is thriving. Look at this.
The only problem is that it has grown so much that it’s overpowering the beautiful day lillies planted close by. I think I’m going to have to move them if they are ever to bring their daily sunshine to us in their lovely flowers.
Around the back of the house the Heuchera are doing well too and just sprouting their flowers.
The hostas are starting to flower too.
Here’s a close up macro look!
The Renga Renga Lillies are flourishing.
Oh, just in case you didn’t catch them first time!
My only worry is that everything is coming into flower now and we’ll have nothing new to see as the summer comes into it’s own. Don’t worry I’ll keep you posted with developments as they happen so you can share them as well. Bet you can’t wait!
Beautiful photographs and thanks for the names of some of those plants – which I recognize as growing in my own garden, but have failed to commit the names to memory! I feel the urge to go get myself an encyclopedia of native plants and start memorizing! Sarah x
You have been on the macro again!! Its like an addiction!! Gorgeous photos, your plants are just gorgeous. I felt guilty as I cut back a lavender (to its death) as I had let it go wild…poor thing. x
