I almost fell out of the door from the overheating conference room after a rather energetic effort to release us all into the wonderful sunshine. After dusting myself off I was excited to see the wonderful boathouse lined up along the harbour. The blues of the doors were almost a perfect match for the blue sky above.
That sunshine was deceptive as a strong southerly wind brought an icy edge and enough wind to whip up your skirts and worry the ladies. I snapped a couple of photographs with my iPhone and after a quick wander up and down retreated back into the warm indoors vowing to return tomorrow with my DSLR camera. Alas, what a difference a day makes. The next day was cloudy and dismal and all the magic from the day before was gone.
As I write this post the biting southerly wind is back bring freezing temperatures and with it lashing rain. We’re waterlogged all over and the chickens are miserable. But with mid Winter almost upon us we can start to look forward to longer days again.
Beautiful pic, I’m trying to get into the habit of taking my camera along more often, you just never know!
Not always easy to be lugging the DSLR which is why I love my iPhone so much!
Whoever painted those doors on the boat sheds was inspired. And what a lovely sunny interpretation of the cooler, darker days.
Hi Sue, I agree. I had no idea they were there!
