Every time I look at this photograph I roll my eyes and tut to myself.  If only I’d been a little quicker, more focused, yes if only……. It’s the perfectionist in me.  It was frustration with not getting it “right” in my photography course that made me fall out of love with photography for a while.  But I’m back brimming with ideas and excited at the prospect of some upcoming trips that will give me a chance to play again.
I like that you took a break from photography but I like it more that you are ready to have fun and play. Your timing is perfect!
I think it all depends on where you want to take your photography. Do you want to be a wildlife or sport photographer? If not, don’t beat yourself up about it – you never have a problem beautifully capturing your dogs at play so there’s nothing wring with your timing! It’s all just about finding your own comfort zone, and that’s all part of the adventure…
