I hate missing class.  It makes me feel like an outsider who isn’t in on the joke.  Not that there was a joke and I’m able to catch up with what I missed being away last week in Sydney.  Last night’s class was to photograph in changing light as the evening sun cast it’s golden farewell on Wellington Harbour. Almost everywhere you looked there were people standing and gazing out across the harbour.  I struck up conversation with some visitors from the US who were doing Wellington in 12 hours which is totally insufficient time to truly appreciate the charms of our Capital City. For all the people I was most taken by this VW Beetle parked up that just seemed to be gazing out to the warm glow across the harbour.  I half expected it to do a Herbie and start dancing in the twilight.

It was amazing how the light changed as time went by, here’s how things were just 20 minutes before the Herbie shot.  My fellow students  and I didn’t want to miss a moment.

Have a backlog of photo blogging which I’ll try and catch up with this weekend.  Along with the other 101 chores I have on my list and a day in the photography studio taking portraits.  I know which I’d rather be focusing on (pardon the pun!).
