It’s always a luxury to be able to walk the bassets during the week so it was especially special for us to venture out as a pack last Friday on the last day of our time off work. I’m not sure at this stage they had yet forgiven me for leaving them even if they did have lots of fun whilst we were away.
Taking to the park on a Friday morning is a bit of a routine for us so having MT in tow caused quite a stir amongst the regular dog walking fraternity to have a stranger in their midst. The hounds usual ability to wander sniff and cause general chaos was slightly curtailed with two people to keep them under control.
Routine is the hub of a basset’s life so it’s always nice to see them in their usual states of wild basset abandonment as they hoon around and play. Fortnum was more intent on sniffing much of the time but Mason made the most of the ability to run free on the wide expanse of grass. I grabbed the moment to photograph Mason before he got all camera shy on me.
It wasn’t long before Little Basset was back to his usual tricks of avoiding me. Darn dog!
I know I have probably said this before but I sure wish I could take such awesome photos of my bassets. Yours are just great!
You have some adorable pictures of Lola and Reggie – but then bassets have lots of character and excellent photographic material!
the boys are at it again. So nice that MT could join you on your walk!! I bet the boys were a bit confused at first, but I’m sure the managed 😉
by the way, I came across this link via my facebook acct.

the boys are in there. Not sure how you feel about your pictures being used, but I know probably half of those bassets from Flickr and can name them LOL!! That’s pretty bad. 😉
Hi Liz, thanks for this heads up – I left a comment on their site suggesting they credit people. I’m not too bothered since they are not using them for commercial purposes. Seems weird seeing so many of Fortnum and Mason there!
That should say something about the quality of your photography!!! Or it could just be the amazing photogenic properties of your lads? No, it’s the photography!!!! 😉
But I agree with you, even though the pics weren’t used for commercial purposes I think that credit should be given to the source.
Have a great day!!
p.s. have you tried that recipe yet?
