This post starts with a service announcement. We’ve been having a few problems with our computer network which has meant access to the internet has been down. But we’re back functioning. For the moment at least! Sorry about the interuption in blog service.
So to business of tales from Domestic Executive HQ. It’s been busy wildlife wise here. After the excitement of Spring in the garden we’re now spotting increased numbers of rabbits and it was a delight to look out the window on Saturday to see two pairs of ducks settled into our “roundabout”.
These ducks were pretty well settled till spotted by me. As I opened the window to take some pictures they started to head off but they just moved from the bottom of the roundabout to the top. That was until the dogs went out to say hello.  It was pretty cool whilst it lasted.
As if a broken internet connection and the ducks in the front garden wasn’t enough excitement for one weekend. I spotted three rabbits bold as brass hopping around down by the chicken house. Can you spot them?
Here’s something to help!
Fortnum and Mason have finally started to “chase” the rabbits although the rabbits are are usually long gone through the fence before the bassets come anywhere close. A bit more practice is needed before they become expert rabbit hunters I think!
I fall in love with where you live with every picture. I’m sorry your internet connection has been having troubles, I’ve been using my iphone mostly lately for similar reasons.
I thought you’d gone out for a wild weekend. Our broadband is running very slowly, part of the penalty of living out in the wilds. I’m actually waiting for the BT engineer as we know that the problem is with the phone line down to the house. We’ve had problems for years when it rains but until we’re down to the last pair? they won’t fix it. BT had actually phoned to offer us £2 a quarter off our phone bill if we changed back to BT and signed a 1 year contract. No way! We get a much better all inclusive deal from Sky. The rabbits are sweet but let’s hope they don’t get a taste for your flowers. I think those ducks are hinting that you need a pond in your garden but would the dogs be happy to share?
Love it! The chicken house is looking fabulous too – if I was a chicken I wouldn’t mind living at your place! 🙂 x
Wowee, ducks and rabbits, heck Denver wouldn’t know where to run first! So gorgeous that your home is a haven for such wild creatures. Gorgeous x
